BroomWade CompAir

BroomWade is a historic British manufacturer of air compressors and compressed-air equipment with roots dating to 1898, when Harry Skeet Broom and Jethro Thomas Wade established Broom & Wade in High Wycombe, England. The company initially manufactured machinery for the furniture industry and produced its first air compressor in 1910.

BroomWade grew into a major manufacturer of industrial air compressors, pneumatic tools and related equipment. In 1968, Broom & Wade merged with another prominent British engineering company, Holman Brothers, forming the International Compressed Air Corporation. The organization was later renamed CompAir.

The BroomWade name continued to be associated with CompAir compressor equipment, and older machines and replacement parts may be identified as Broom & Wade, BroomWade, CompAir BroomWade, or CompAir.

Today, CompAir continues the compressed-air heritage of BroomWade and supports legacy BroomWade compressor equipment and replacement parts. CompAir is now part of Ingersoll Rand.
